Battlefield 2042 is the latest entry into the Battlefield video game series, this time taking place in the not-too-distant future. The game is developed by DICE and published by Electronic Arts, and it released earlier last week on November 19. However, Battlefield 2042 did not have great user reviews upon its release.

Battlefield 2042 has had many players report on the various issues and bugs in the game. Some of the issues include problems with certain features, issues with various vehicles and weapons, and unexpected game crashes. A new update from EA reveals that plenty of these issues will be addressed in the game soon.

A recent post from EA stated that the second update for Battlefield 2042 called "Update #2" will be making several balancing changes to the game today, November 25th. It says that most of the balancing changes will be applied to several vehicles and weapons while fixing critical bugs in the game, most of which were found during the previous Early Access week for Battlefield 2042 in November.

The post confirmed the update will add changes to the LCAA Hovercraft, MD540 Nightbird, KA-520 Super Hokum, and AH-64GX Apache Warchief. For the weapons, there will be an increased recoil for the PP-29, and most weapons will have more consistent bullet spread with shotguns as the sole exception. According to the post, this should result in better weapon accuracy during gameplay in Battlefield 2042.

The post states that most of the identified critical bugs were preventing players from having a consistent gaming experience in Battlefield 2042. The post doesn't say it fixed all of them, but it did say that the developer has fixed several of these bugs. It said that some of the bugs were found in situations like players being unable to revive or respawn as they intended.

Some of the notable fixes in the game include resolving an issue where players who were killed close to obstacles like walls or water were unable to revive afterward. Another fix includes resolving the issue of downed players stuck in a downed state and couldn't respawn. So, a hidden timer was added that will activate after 30 seconds when a player's in a downed state and force a redeploy if needed. The update will also add general improvements to stability in the game to prevent rare occurrences of the game unexpectedly crashing.

According to the post, once Update #2 is out it will be followed up by Update #3, which is scheduled to release next week. The post states that it will be the biggest update to Battlefield 2042 so far and will provide larger substantial changes to the game. Some of the changes include performance enhancements, balance changes, and even more quality of life improvements.

Battlefield 2042 is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
